Product Description
Field installable fast connector is a specialized fiber optic connector applied to FTTX scenarios. The connector is pre-polished in factory, adopting V-groove mechanical splicing technology. It requires no epoxy glue, on-site end face polishing or fiber fusion, which greatly shortens fiber termination time compared with traditional connectors. Featuring easy assembly and excellent structural stability, it can complete fiber core connection without extra adhesives or complex operations. The product is adaptable to narrow and harsh working environments such as utility poles and manholes, effectively lowering connection failure rate caused by on-site operation errors.
This series of field assembly connectors is widely used for indoor and floor optical wiring of LAN and CCTV systems, and has become the preferred connection solution for optical access network construction. The product lineup covers multiple types including SC, LC and FC, compatible with single-mode and multi-mode fibers with cladding diameters ranging from 250μm to 900μm, as well as 2.0mm and 3.0mm diameter optical cables. Multi-mode specifications include 62.5/125μm and 50/125μm fiber; single-mode versions are equipped with UPC or APC ferrules.
2. Working Principle
The connector is composed of ferrule, fiber clamping structure and coating clamping component. It is pre-installed with fiber stub and index matching gel inside, supporting fiber specifications of 0.9mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm. The precision V-groove structure realizes accurate mechanical alignment of optical fibers to ensure stable optical transmission performance.

4. Installation Instructions
4.1 Required Tools
Only conventional fiber processing tools are needed: fiber stripper, cleaning wipes and fiber cleaver. No power supply or fiber fusion equipment is required.
4.2 Installation Steps
1. Strip the outer coating of the optical fiber;
2. Cleave the fiber with a fiber cleaver;
3. Clean the fiber end face thoroughly with wipes;
4. Insert the processed fiber into the fast connector and fix it.
The whole installation process only takes several minutes with simple operation.
